How to Create a Perfect Life

Perfect LifeHope Is Not a Strategy

Every person I’ve ever coached or even talked with has told me they really want a perfect life.  I mean, who wouldn’t?  The reality is, it rarely happens for people.  Most live on hope.  They hope or wish things would change.  Hope’s not a strategy.  For you to change anything in your life, you’re going to need a process.  A perfect life demands a strategy.  I know if I want something different then I’ve got to do something that I’ve never done.  A key question for you is, what do you want and what change do you need to make to get it?  Here’s a simple process I’ve been working the last 5 years that’s helped me carve out the life I want.

What Is A Perfect Life For You?

Your answer here directs your focus.  A perfect life for me is when the people that know me best, still love and respect me.  They know all my faults and hang-ups and they still believe I’m awesome.  My aim is to have amazing relationships with Lisa, my kids, and friends.  What’s your aim?  Some ask, “what about business?”.  Do you realize business is all about relationships.  Business is simply people doing transactions.  Your business is your relationships and your relationships are your business.  What about you?  Can you define what makes a perfect life?

How Do You Create Your Perfect Life Process?

Your life is made up of alot of years and what’s a year made up of?  Many days!  So here is what I did!  I defined what a perfect day is for me and then put a system in place to duplicate that every day.  The secret of your success is hidden in your daily routine.  I’ve learned that by just creating four anchors for my day and scheduling them, I can create a perfect day no matter where I am or what I’m doing.  I’ve discovered that a perfect day for me consists of:

  1. Time reading my Bible and praying
  2. Time with my Lisa
  3. Time with my kids
  4. Exercise

I do many different things every day but if I keep my anchors, it’s a perfect day!  If I have alot of perfect days this year, it’s going to be a perfect year!  It really is that simple.  This exercise should give you the clarity to define what is that perfect day.  We all have a different mission so your perfect day might consist or 5, 6 or even 7 things, but whatever it is, take a couple of minutes and define your perfect day.  You owe it to yourself to get the clarity you need to create a perfect life!
